Central West Psychology aims to provide quality psychological services to the rural community. The practice strives to provide evidence based treatment to clients, whilst acknowledging the importance of working with other allied health professionals and alternative treatment providers.

There are a diverse range of presenting problems that psychologists support people with within the rural community. People experience difficulties at different times during their life and this is where speaking to a psychologist can facilitate increased understanding and the development of skills and strategies to cope more effectively.

Simone Vines, Registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychologist IT, has worked within hospitals, community health and more recently in private practice and the education sector. During this time Simone has provided triage services, short to longer term treatment, facilitated group programs, represented as a legal officer and psychologist at local court and provided on site consultation to various organisations. Simone has an particular interest in working with clients suffering from mental health and substance use problems.

Prior to working as a psychologist Simone worked within the medical industry educating and forming relationships with allied health professionals and dealing with organisations such as the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). This experience provided Simone with a diverse knowledge of various therapy areas and medical treatments. It also gave Simone the opportunity to work closely with other professionals within the health care industry.
